The picture above was all the rave on social media yesterday after Skull Gang member Hynief posted the pic with the caption “Guess who I caught y’all Lil punk ass Jo Jo that made the diss track look at his face when he ace! #facts shouldn’t pop shit if u not bout that life real niggas don’t care who u related too fuck nigga.” The issue stemmed from when Juelz Santana released a song and name dropped Jojo on it. Jojo apparently took the line as a diss and like any other rapper he made a diss track about Juelz. Hyieif allegedly seen Jojo grabbed him up and forced him to call Juelz Santana and apologize. I'm just curious, do you think if this was another rapper lets say Young Jeezy would the same repercussions of a diss track have taken place? Yea, not so mucg I think the skull gang member took advantage of the fact that Jojo is nowhere near a gangsta to gain a little publicity for himself. VERY SAD in my opinion.
Growing up in New York, especially Harlem the pressure to be fashion forward is at an all time high. Imagine being 15 and realizing that all your classmates are dressed alike. You start drawing in the back of your notebook figuring out ways to make your style a little different. You then bring these ideas to life with the help of youtube videos. Amazing right? Well meet Shay Xclusive, that was the start to her very unique brand. Unlike many other designers Shay's designs are not influenced by another brand, she believes the underground brands are the most "xclusive". Although, she does admire Kellz Mania for his great work and dope sense of style. Another huge thing that sets Shay aside from other designers is the fact that no two pieces in her collection are exactly alike. You will not find yourself with the same jacket or vest as another girl in the club. Basically, all of Shay's designs are free-styled meaning they are not thought out before she puts them together. She usually plays music to get in her zone, starts working and always comes out with something spectacular. Shay's personal style is creative and is usually put together based on emotion. Her closet consists of mostly her own designs but you can catch a few pieces from Adidas ,Trukfit, Dead Couture, Famousgem and Flyboilifestyle. Competition? Shay doesn't see any! She's so focused on her career and brand right now that no one can really compete with her grind. Shay's so focused that she's put her love live on hold. When I asked her what does she look for in a mate she told me "my mate has to be a beautiful individual, focused, goal orientated, loving, caring, very swaggy, dope sense of style. I'm silly so she would have to be as silly as me. GAWGEOUS.... just a well rounded female I can enjoy life with." I think those are great characteristics and hopefully when Shay has some downtime she finds what she is looking for. Shay would really like to see Wale, Kanye West, Big Sean, Iggy Azalea, Teyana Taylor, Lashonte, Tyga, Lil Wayne and ASAP Rocky in her brand. I have a huge feeling that in the next couple of years her dream will come true. #SALUTE Shay Xclusive for her extraordinary designs and unique fashion sense. I love a girl that goes against the odds. For more information regarding Shay's pieces email S[email protected]
Ray J recently released the artwork for his new single "I hit it first" a Kim Kardashian diss song. The artwork has been the topic of conversations all over social media. Today the song was leaked and I must say it is a little disrespectful. I personally think Ray J is a little jealous of Kim's happiness and pregnancy. It's kind of sad after being in the game for so many years that you have to try and bring someone else down just to get a little media attention. Come on Ray J, you have to do better. Listen to the song below for yourself!Brandy is winning right now with her new movie, new album, and new season of the game. But it seems like Brandy never really gets the proper recognition. I mean she has been in the game for along time. Brandy discusses motherhood, her career and if she feels she gets the respect she deserves in the issue.
Check out excerpts from the interview below: On how she feels about not being recognized for her longevity and being one of the top chicks in the game Sometimes I agree with it because I know there are a lot of talented people that have shown me a lot of love on top of my fans really expressing their love for me. Sometimes I think your ego gets in the way because you know you want everybody to feel that way about you. You want to get the credit. You want to get the props but I try not to live in that space because I know it’s ego. I’m just happy with being me. I’m happy with being able to be so connected in my being that I’m able to express that in my music. There are so many people who get the credit but they’re not really connected to their music. I would take the honesty and the connection with my music over the credit any day…but both would be nice! [laughs]” On the current state of R&B and who she would love to collaborate with I’m not okay with the current state of R&B. That’s why ‘Two-Eleven’ was so important to me. I wanted to do an album that contributed to that genre of music. I think it was very necessary for the music industry and the hearts of people. As far as newcomers, I hadn’t really been paying attention because I was so focused on the album but I can’t help but pay attention to Kelly Rowland. I admire her so much and would love to collaborate with her. Beyoncé is phenomenal and Rihanna is amazing too. On how she juggles being a celebrity, a soon to be wife and a mother I don’t know! [laughs] It’s hard. I haven’t worked this hard in my life! My daughter has her own life now. She’s getting older so she has her own schedule now. Sometimes, I want her to travel with me and she’s like ‘no mom. I have a school trip I have to go Cassie releases a new video with Rick Ross off her mixtape "Rockabyebaby" set to be released April 11th.Ever since Kim Kardashian announced she was pregnant she has yet to lose the attention of the media. Although, Kim is pregnant she still continues to dress in style which many times includes skin tight dresses and extra high heels. And it seems like everyone has something to say about it. I personally think that it's important to keep yourself up even when your pregnant. She recently wrote in a blog that she had all her clothes custom made to fit her pregnant belly and looking nice makes her feel happy Kim needs to just do her and careless about what people think.
